ArtMatic Voyager creates 3D landscapes with exquisite realism and detail. It invites you to create, explore and discover entire planets much larger than our own. Using new non-polygonal techniques for rendering, ArtMatic Voyager is both powerful and easy to use. Illustrators, filmmakers and graphic designers in need of landscape backgrounds and realistic or fantastic scenery will love ArtMatic Voyager.

Detail so exquisite you may feel the heat coming off a glowing lava flow or the chill of a lonely icy plateau.

Besides its practical uses, ArtMatic Voyager provides sheer pleasure as you travel and explore virtual worlds bigger than our own Earth.

The Voyager library. ArtMatic Voyager comes with a large collection of professional-quality starter systems. You can use any of the over 400 ArtMatic elements (planet surfaces, color textures, artifacts, cities, cloud systems, backdrops and atmospheres) provided with ArtMatic Voyager to expand on the possibilities of the built-in planets. These elements can be used on their own or in limitless combinations. Any built-in planet can be combined with up to 6 ArtMatic surfaces at once. ArtMatic Pro NOT required.

Never-ending variety. For those who want to build their own worlds and textures from scratch, ArtMatic Pro can be used to design new planets OR to add elements to the built-in planets. The ArtMatic Pro/Voyager combination provides all the tools & primitives needed to create a never-ending variety of landscapes and worlds.

What's New - Highlights

ArtMatic Voyager 2 has a host of great new features. The most radical advance is our new DFRM (Distance Field Ray Marching) technology that enables ArtMatic Voyager to render ArtMatic-designed 3D objects, volumetric clouds and lights. ArtMatic Voyager is no longer just a tool for rendering landscapes but also for rendering non-landscape 3D art and objects. The ArtMatic 5/ArtMatic Voyager 2 engine features components for designing a huge variety of objects and landscape features--including arches, caves and vegetation. This opens up a world of new possibilities.

Upgrading? If you are upgrading from an earlier version of ArtMatic or ArtMatic Voyager read this.

Here are the highlights:

  • Fully-3D objects and landscape features (arches, caves, overhangs and more) via new DFRM technology
  • Non-landscape 3D graphics including abstract and cosmic 3D graphics when used with ArtMatic 5
  • Improved and expanded sky and cloud model
  • Fog and mist layers
  • Volumetric clouds
  • Volumetric lights
  • Additive sky modes for lighting effects
  • Camera effects and position tracking via ArtMatic
  • The camera can rise above the cloud layer
  • Multiple RGBa ArtMatic cloud layers
  • Cloud size control
  • Improved realism
  • Use of up to 8 cores for rendering
  • Control of the number of cores used when rendering in the background
  • ArtMatic/ArtMatic Voyager hot-linking
  • Expanded color and illumination options, including gamma control and brightness gain

ArtMatic Voyager is capable of creating stunning video at resolutions exceeding hi-def. The examples on this page only hint at the range and quality of the animation that you can create. In order to keep download times reasonable, these examples are all compressed and size-limited. When you render video, every single frame is as high-resolution and pristine as the still images that ArtMatic Voyager creates.
