iPad Options – Thomas Banghalter (Daft Punk) uses MetaSynth via Astropad with an Apple pencil. You can also use Apple’s Sidecar but it isn’t as feature rich.
Windows PC Options – There are customers who use MetaSynth on PC laptops via VMware+Mojave but we can’t promote this due to Apple’s licensing agreement. There are videos on YouTube on how to do this with VMware and Unlocker. This statement is for educational purposes only.
Porting Cost/Resource Improvements – After a few failed attempts to build Windows version, and giving up on the projects, AI code generators have arrived and may provide a path forward. Exploring… stay tuned! Perhaps a cloud version?
User Experience – It is important that the software works at its best performance levels. The options above and even a native port to a different application platform does not ensure it will be up to expectations. Just look at some of the challenges getting the AppKit apps to work like the Carbon apps did! Whatever path is taken, we want to ensure it’s a good experience.
p.s. MetaSynth and Xx are fine, but we don’t recommend ArtMatic on an x86 Intel processor as the ARM M series Mac can render 50% faster than an Intel i7. Also, ARM processors are only getting started with their speed capability.

A common question is “why are your apps Mac only”? This is for historical reasons as all of them started development for Mac OS (Classic), then were ported to OS X / Mac OS X (Carbon), then ported again to macOS (AppKit). It takes a lot of resources to port apps. – migration from OS X to macOS took 5 years of work.
